The La Cimbali team are looking forward to two great Autumn events – HOST & Cup North
As the UK Summer comes to an end……the La Cimbali team are getting ready for two great events that they are part of this Autumn.
The first one is Host 2015 in late October, which is part of EXPO Milano and will take place from 23-27 at Milan’s Fieramilano during EXPO’s last week. The Bi-yearly show last took place in 2013 and is a fantastic international event. This year there will be 1,700 exhibitors and it expects to welcome over 130,000 visitors from 62 countries.
HOST perfectly blends business with culture. There will be more than 400 meetings, seminars and talks, including; innovative performances, workshops, cooking demonstrations by starred chefs, master ice-cream and pastry bakers and baristas from Italy and all around the world. The coffee segment of HOST has always been the ‘venue par excellence’ attracting the world’s top companies and a strong contingent of specially selected coffee-roasting firms, importers, producers and operators. There will be areas devoted to all the stages of coffee production and processing with focus on the creation of different blends, including exotic as well as espresso. It really is a special area to be part of.
Just a couple of weeks after returning from HOST – La Cimbali’s coffee specialist Rob Ward and his team will be heading to the second Cup North event. Taking place over the weekend of 7 and 8 November in the Victoria Warehouse Hotel, Manchester, this fabulous Northern coffee party will include industry professionals, baristas, roasters, foodies and members of the general public who are all devoted coffee lovers.
This year La Cimbali will be one of three official sponsors of Tamper Tantrum who are a forum dedicated to broadcasting stories, opinions and theories from the coffee industry. As part of Cup North 2014 they were extremely well received and a great success. This time they will have six coffee industry superstars who will share their stories including; Chloe Callow the launcher of the Bespoke Water Division for Norman Pendred & Co Ltd, and Colin Harmon – co-creator and co-host of Tamper Tantrum and four-time Irish barista champion.
