The inaugural Cup North, the first major coffee festival to take place outside of London,will be an exciting two-day northern coffee party! It is being held in Manchester on the 1st & 2nd of November at Artwork, Greengate. This fabulous artisan coffee event is put together by the coffee community of Manchester and will showcase all that is brilliant about the UK coffee industry and the increasing and emerging coffee scene in the North of England.
The event will have a wide range of exhibitors displaying and demonstrating their newest most innovative coffee machines and accessories, and many will also be revealing their latest ideas and providing tastings and samples from their best products. Other aspects of the industry will also be represented, including tea and chocolate merchants, independent street food vendors and brewers, plus there will informative seminars running throughout the two days too.
La Cimbali are delighted to be one of themain sponsors and part of the kick-starter project that helped get the Festival off the ground and will be situated in the main entrance area at the venue.We will be showing our M100HD coffee machine, which shows the ultimate control for brewing coffee using pressure profiles, as well as one of the newest additions to our PGS (Perfect Grind System) range – the M34 and Bluetooth grinder.Plus our very own Coffee Specialist Rob Ward and team will be making lots of new coffees for visitors to try, and be on hand to answer any questions they may have, offer practical advice and listen to views and thoughts on anything and everything coffee!.
La Cimbali has also teamed up with Dark Woods, a new Huddersfield based artisan roaster created by three well known coffee experts; Damian Blackburn, Ian Agnew and Paul Meikle-Janney who will be serving three distinct espresso blends at the festival: Under Milk Wood: a rich bodied coffee with caramel overtones from Brazilian, Indian and Ethiopian origins; the fruity and jammy flavoured, Arboretum from a Costa Rican, Guatemalan and Kenyan bean; plus, a natural coffee, Eleta, from Panama which is a high grade, lightly roasted coffee with sweet, fruit flavours.
