Yes, that’s right, 22 Great Taste awards for Ringtons
We really couldn’t let the week pass by without a special mention of the staggering success that Ringtons has achieved at this year’s Great Taste awards.
Following weeks of blind tasting over 12,000 products by quite an impressive lineup of judges, the Newcastle based tea and coffee firm has scooped an incredible 22 accolades in the much sought after Great Taste food and drink awards. And that really is quite an achievement.
Ringtons received 14 Great Taste awards for its teas, six for its coffee and two for biscuits.
Beverages for Business
Stephen Drysdale, Head of Ringtons Beverages for Business said: “In the last 18 months we have invested substantially in training with the Speciality Coffee Association (SCA) and updating our own coffee roasting facilities in Newcastle. This has led to us spending a lot of time developing a coffee range which showcases the very best roast profiles on the market and winning six Great Taste awards for our coffee is testament to the quality and variance of the range.
“We also received nine awards for our tea products including eight for our new quality loose-leaf collection which has been developed specifically for our business customers to be able to serve fresh blends in their businesses, and have the option to also sell the teas and infusion packs as a retail product. As a company which blends, roasts and packs all of our own coffee and tea it’s a huge honour to be recognised by such a well-known and respected food and drinks awards and we are sure our own clients will be delighted to be able to serve our award-winning products to their own customers.”
Seventeen of this year’s winners are part of Ringtons thriving Beverages for Business division which is a one-stop-shop supplying the UK’s leading hotels, cafes, restaurants, visitor attractions and businesses with the highest quality tea and coffee, supplies, catering equipment as well as offering extensive barista training and barista design.
